You know what, I tried too much ! I tried to use a <'table/'> and landed up with the mess, when I sent it through the w3c validator it came back saying "This is no where near HTML" :-) I removed all the table nonsense and it looks much better now. The img option from Blogger's WYSIWYG editor is infact worse, it has 3 option for the image size small,medium,large(radio buttons) but nothing that says original size.

just upload the full images on to some server and then use the img tag in blogger to publish it on the blog. Works quite fine
